KCCEOA Scholarship Program 2025

The Kansas County Clerks and Election Officials Association (KCCEOA) offers scholarships to Kansas high school seniors and freshmen planning to attend a Kansas college or university. Scholarships of $500 will be awarded annually based on academic achievement and eligibility.

Eligibility Requirements

To qualify for the KCCEOA Scholarship, applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Major:
    The scholarship is available to students majoring in one of the following fields:
    • Journalism
    • Political Science
    • Business Accounting
    • Communications
  • Present Status:
    Applicants must be one of the following:
    • High School Senior
    • College Freshman
  • GPA:
    Applicants must have a GPA of 3.0 or higher.
  • Kansas Student:
    Applicants must be Kansas students attending or planning to attend a Kansas college or university as full-time students (12 credit hours or more).
  • U.S. Citizenship:
    Applicants must be a United States citizen.

Scholarship Overview

  • Award Amount: $500
  • Number of Scholarships: 10 to 12 scholarships awarded annually
  • Application Deadline: April 4, 2025 (electronic submission or postmarked by this date)

Application Instructions

  1. Complete the Application: 2025 KCCEOA Scholarship Application
    Fill out all required sections of the application form, which includes your essay on an additional page.
  2. Submit the Application:
    • Email your completed application, essay, and transcripts to Carol D. Noblit, Kingman County Clerk, at noblitc [at] kingmancoks.org (noblitc[at]kingmancoks[dot]org).
    • If letters of reference are not included, please indicate they will be sent separately.
  3. Application Deadline:
    All materials (application, essay, transcripts, and letters of reference) are due by April 4, 2025:
    • Electronically: Must be received by April 4, 2025.
    • Mailed: Postmarked by April 4, 2025.
    • Submission Options:
      • Deliver to your County Clerk/Election Official (they will forward to the Scholarship Chairperson).
      • Mail or email directly to the Kingman County Clerk at:
        130 N Spruce St, Kingman, KS 67068
  4. Scholarship Announcement:
    Winners will be announced at the KCCEOA May meeting. After submitting a copy of your College Class Notification, the scholarship funds will be sent to your college for the fall semester.
  5. Notification of Winners:
    Local County Clerks/Election Officials will contact winners in their respective counties by May 15th each year.
