Regulations and Rules
Mandatory Check-In
- You MUST see landfill personnel before dumping.
- We accept only Stanton County trash.
- KDHE requires ALL loads to be checked in.
Prohibited Materials
- No liquids inside or outside of dumpsters.
- Empty agricultural containers must be triple-rinsed.
Material Separation Requirements
- Metals: Do not place metals in dumpsters from Johnson City. If using commercial dumpsters, ensure they contain only metal.
- Note: We charge for items containing freon (e.g., refrigerators and freezers must be empty of all food).
- Trees & Brush: Only trees and brush are accepted; no lumber products (fencing, boards, posts, panels, etc.).
- Concrete & Brick: Must be separated.
- Asphalt: Must be separated.
- Tires: Accepted but must not be placed in dumpsters. Fees will triple if tires must be dug out of the trash. Charges apply based on size and type; no charge for tires cut into thirds or with sidewalls removed.
- Agricultural Plastic Tarps and Crop Tubes: Charges apply.
Important Notice
- Any loads not properly separated upon arrival will be directed for separation or refused.
Illegal dumping in creeks or outside of the landfill will lead to prosecution. This will be monitored closely.
