Office Responsibilities

The Stanton County Attorney’s Office is responsible for felony, misdemeanor, and juvenile prosecution. The Office is also responsible for handling child in need of care cases, mental illness cases, and traffic violations. The County Attorney serves as the County Counselor and advises the Board of Commissioners on legal matters as well as conducts the yearly tax sale.
