Official Custodian of Land and Property Records
The Stanton County Register of Deeds is an elected official, responsible for recording, maintaining, and preserving the official public records of all real estate transactions and related documents within Stanton County, Kansas. This office ensures the integrity, accuracy, and accessibility of property records in accordance with Kansas law.

The office keeps a daily record of all transactions recorded and filed, and maintains accurate, permanent records for the citizens of Stanton County.
Public Access and Confidentiality
All records maintained by the Register of Deeds are open to the public for inspection during regular business hours, except for information contained on Sales Validation Questionnaires and Military Discharges, which are protected by law.
Fees and Financial Procedures
All fees for recording services are established by Kansas state statute and must be paid at the time of recording. At the end of each month, all fees collected are deposited into the Stanton County General Fund.
